Matt Behrendt signs this week with the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League

Another UW-Whitewater quarterback has landed a professional football contract.  With Matt Blanchard playing just up Lombardi Avenue with the Green Bay Packers, his former UW-Whitewater teammate Matt Behrendt signed this week with the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League (IFL).  The Blizzard play its games at the Resch Center.

 Following his time at UW-Whitewater he was invited to the Minnesota Vikings Mini Camp in May and spent some time with the IFL Intense Conference Colorado Crush (formerly the Colorado Ice). Behrendt is a well rounded quarterback who will not only bring his talent to the Blizzard roster but also his aggressive offensive style.

Behrendt says he is lpoking forward to playing back in Wisconsin, “it is like home to me, it feels great to have the opportunity to come back here and in such a city where there is so much tradition and amazing fan support.”
